the wedding!

We got married on November 14, 2015 in Carmel, CA. We started off by getting ready in neighboring cottages, a block from the beach. We both had relaxing, stress free mornings surrounded by love from our closest family and friends. We slowly made our way to the ceremony site in downtown Carmel and had a short but very sweet ceremony with only a tiny bit of happy tears. Immediately following the ceremony, we went to the beach to catch the sunset and take some photos together. The sunset photoshoot was  such a peaceful, intimate moment to spend together as newlyweds.

After arriving back to the venue from our photoshoot, we went straight into party mode. Our guests had 90 minutes of open bar and appetizers so needless to say, we had a lot of catching up to do! Our fathers, Emily's Man of Honor, Chris, and Nathan's Best Man, Jared, all gave beautiful and heartfelt speeches. Laughs were had and tears were shed. Our good friend, Mary Anne LeCour, sang our first dance song with our band; a stripped down and very special version of Beyonce's "Love on Top".

Needless to say, we couldn't have had a more perfect wedding surrounded by all the people that mean the most to us in this world. Thank you for being a part of our amazing journey together.

Shoutout to all of our amazing vendors who helped put everything together!!

korea

Last stop: Korea. Emily and I had 36 hours to spend in Seoul and two amazing friends to hang out with. Dave and Leanne were the best tour guides and eating buddies we could have asked for. Thank you guys for showing us around and feeding us. We had a great time and can't wait to spend another 36+ hours in Korea with you both.

taiwan

Stop 4: Taiwan. After a week of Hong Kong, we were feeling a bit hungover from life and wanted to take it easy in Taipei. That meant our schedule went from full day adventuring to simple morning quests for food, afternoon naps, and evening feeds. Eating through Taipei was definitely a good idea, especially with all the variety and affordability of everything. If you need a week's worth of food places to check out, hit us up and we'll fill you in!

the maldives

The Maldives is a tropical chain of islands in the Indian Ocean, off the southwest tip of India. This place is the epitome of a honeymoon with its over water bungalows and warm waters perfect for scuba diving and snorkeling. We were there for 5 short days and stayed at the super remote Park Hyatt Hadahaa Resort. Check it out if you can, it's beautiful and probably the closest we'll ever get to staying on a deserted island.

abu dhabi + dubai

We kicked off our honeymoon with a quick 18 hour layover in Abu Dhabi. With only an afternoon of exploring and knowing little about Abu Dhabi, we decided to make the one hour taxi ride to the better well known Dubai. With our limited knowledge, we decided was probably best we spend our time at the mall and at the top of the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. So that's what we did in Dubai. Went to the mall and rode a really tall, fancy elevator for $65 each.
